Speaking, Training and Consulting
Dr. Phelps is a dynamic and motivating speaker, as well as a noteworthy trainer and consultant for groups and organizations.
She is available to speak on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:
- mental health (stress management, sleep, exercise and wellbeing – and more)
- mental illness (managing anxiety, depression, and more)
- eating disorders and body image
- performance enhancement
For groups and organizations:
Dr. Phelps provides resilience and mindfulness training through her program, “Finding Your Life Worth Living: Cultivating Resilience and Managing Stress.” The program is designed to enhance mental wellness and stress management skills and decrease burnout. Participants will:
- Learn to identify and assess your level of burnout.
- Learn 10 ways to manage stress, distress and burnout by increasing your mental immunity and building resiliency.
- Learn skills such as: cultivating gratitude, developing mindfulness, accepting and letting go, moving from reacting to responding with wisdom, sleeping well for well-being and more.
Dr. Phelps is available to provide training and consultation on a variety of other mental health and performance enhancement related topics. And all training is adapted to meet the needs of your unique organization.
She has also facilitated community and panel discussions for a variety of mental health awareness events. Past topics have included:
- decreasing stigma associated with mental illness
- happiness
- suicide prevention
- depression
- eating disorders and body image
